Hear me
when I speak
and just listen
and try not to be
some kind of self-righteous high being
where the opposites mislead me
to better your mind and see
this is a story
of how we can be
They're building you up to tear you down
they won't admit it but its true
smiling advice to end with your frown
cuz they don't want what's best for you
it's sad I know I know

| took a road trip this weekend to new hampshire for mark and alyssa's wedding. craig, tyler and i stayed at the best hotel ever...it was called lun hing and was like a spin off of a chinese resturant...it smelled wonderful and had the most beautiful carpet i have ever seen  the wedding was great-the ceremony was short and sweet- mark and alyssa wrote their own vows and they were awesome. the reception was fun and we all drooled over the chocolate fountain all night-thanks lyss! i must say the highlight of the ceremony was mark, mike and the groomsmens rendition of ymca and the village people. it was a great night and i am so excited cause alyssa will be living here in a week!!!!
i must say it was great to get off the island this weekend- even if it was only for like 30 hours. i realized that i really need a roadtrip before the summer is over...any ideas? | | |
| had another near death experience this weekend.. i got shocked multiple times while cooking hot dogs on an electric grill! i think this expierence may develop into a hot dog phobia..who new franks could conduct electricity???? besides that small mishap and tons of sunburn, our car wash for belize went great!!!
spent the day sunday with the fam at the bronx zoo...happy birthday jan lam! it was really fun-we saw so many amazing animals! that evening we had our senior banquet at church. we celebrated joey, little b and kim...its going to be so sad to see them go, but we had a great evening of photos, skits, funny gifts and great memories!
can'twait for this weekend..mark and alyssa are finally getting married and i am making the trek to the shire on friday night. i'm due for a raod trip!

| my team won another softball game tonight, though our spirits were higher tonight than last week when kim broke her leg in the last inning. she is doing well and finally came home from the hospital today.
after the game carol and i went shopping for gifts for the senior banquet and on the way home the freakiest thing happened... something (maybe a rock) flew at the window on the passenger side where i was sitting and shattered the window. some glass landed on me, but thankfully i didnt really get cut and i am even more thankful that the window was closed!
a few "firsts" from this week...
i sold my first beer (at the ducks game on monday)
i played my first game of golf (nine holes) on tues night -only 28 over par- not too bad:)
molly striaghtened my hair and for the first time i actully liked it (thanks maxiglide!)
i watched my first episode of the west wing (your right alyssa-its pretty good)
and i made my first bid on ebay (thanks again maxiglide)
CAR WASH SATURDAY...come to the yfc office to support our missions trip to belize this summer...we'll be there all day

| the craziness is finally over... run for youth and james wedding, both successful and tons of fun. i am glad to have a break from YFC events until august. in the meantime i can focus on belize. our team is so awesome this year, i can't wait.
other things of importance...first softball game this week, american idol tonight, the temp is finally above 50 degrees, i'themba is back in town, sweenas over watching oprah, i got to wear a costume on saturday night and alyssa is moving to LI in less than a month.
